Careers and Subject Expo

Students and families in Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 are invited to attend the school's 2017 Careers & Subject Expo to be held in the Multi Purpose Centre (MPC) from 5.30pm on Tuesday 8 August, 2017.

This evening will be vital to all students, parents and carers in preparing to select subjects for Senior School.  The exhibits will include: school-based subject offerings, University and TAFE pathways, local employers, business and industry partnerships.  There will also be parent forums about Senior Schooling, University and Vocational pathways, school-based Traineeships and Apprenticeships.

As you are aware our Year 9 students will be the first cohort under the new Senior Phase of Learning system, ATAR.  To support students and families there will be an ATAR conference in the Performing Arts Centre.  Due to the number of students in the cohort, there will be two sessions.  Each family will be allocated a session based on their child's Roll Mark Class which can be found on their timetable.

Session 1: RLM 9A-D start 6.00pm and finish 6.30pm.

Session 2: RLM 9E-H start 6.45pm and finish 7.15pm.

To support our Year 10 students and families there is also a Senior Pathway presentation in the lower Lecture Centre from 6.30pm - 7.15pm. Topics will include: OP pathway, Queensland Certificate of Education, TAFE and School-based apprenticeships.

We look forward to seeing you all there to support students and families with their choices and investigating pathway options.
