The 2019 National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests are quickly approaching. Parents are reminded that the tests are conducted for Year 7 and Year 9 students, from Tuesday 14 May to Thursday 16 May, 2019.
The schools specific focus on improvement in Literacy and Numeracy has our students well prepared to achieve and exceed their potential in Week 4.
As we approach NAPLAN, we ask that parents/guardians are supporting their child’s chances for success by ensuring they are well rested and relaxed in the lead up to the tests.
In addition, we would ask parents during the test week to ensure their child is having adequate sleep and arrives at school well-hydrated and with a full stomach.
The schedule for the 2019 NAPLAN test is as follows:
Tuesday 14 May – Language Conventions/Writing
Wednesday 15 May – Reading Test
Thursday 16 May – Numeracy (Non-Calculator & Calculator)
Friday 17 May – Catch up tests for any students absent
Students will be provided with study materials in readiness for the tests in Week 4.
the NAPLAN Information Letter to Parents.
Whilst we encourage all students to
participate in these national tests we understand that circumstances sometimes
prevent students from being able to participate. In many circumstances, special
arrangements can be made to best support your child.
will be provided as required for those parents who have indicated that their
child will not be participating.
If required, exemption forms will be available from the

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!
