Student Code of Conduct
The consequences of breaches of the stated standards of behaviour will be addressed through the school’s Student Code of Conduct which incorporates the principles of natural justice, compliance with policies and practices of Education Queensland and legal requirements.
Assessment Policy
Assessment is an integral part of the school curriculum and can take the form of assignments, projects, oral presentations, examinations, experiments, practical demonstrations and performances.
The Education Act (2006) requires that students of compulsory school age must attend school until the completion of year 10 or until they turn 16 years of age, (whichever comes first).

Ormeau Woods State High School is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all members of its community. Mobile Phone Policy
From Term 1 2024, students must have mobile phones switched off and ‘away for the day’ and notifications disabled on smartwatches during school hours.

Student Driver Agreement
Students that hold a current drivers licence and intend on driving to school must read and complete the Student Driver Agreement form and return to the Administration Office

These Student Protection Guidelines, which have been developed to support the department's Student Protection Procedure, provide detailed guidance about:
- relevant legislative provisions including those relating to student protection reporting;
- key definitions and concepts in relation to child abuse and neglect;
- reporting and referral processes; and
- information sharing requirements.

Complaints Management Procedure
