Introducing Ormeau Woods State High School's exciting new soccer program! Our initiative aims to cultivate a love for this beautiful game while promoting holistic student development. Led by experienced coaches, students receive expert training in technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness. Through friendly matches and competitive tournaments, participants showcase their talents and foster teamwork. Additionally, our program integrates soccer with the Australian Curriculum, providing unique opportunities for academic enrichment through sports. Application GuideStudents who apply for the Academy of Soccer Excellence Program must complete a 2-stage process:
Stage One
- Complete a Sport Excellence Academies Application form (indicating preferrence for Academy of Soccer Excellence)
- Attach two most recent levels of Achievement, Effort and Behaviour report cards
- Attach a reference from your sports club Coach and any other supporting documents
- Stage one applications close 3.00pm Friday 26 April 2024
Successful applicants will be invited to progress to Stage Two.
*Not all candidates will progress to Stage Two.
Stage Two
Applicants will be invited to attend a soccer trial in term 2 at Ormeau Woods State High School:
